Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre was established in 1984 with a clear responsibility to support Indigenous children, youth, and families through community based care. The name Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata translates to “we all work together to help one another.”
Welcome Message
We are honoured to gather this evening to mark over 40 years of Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre working alongside Indigenous children, youth, and families.
Tonight is a time to recognize the dedication, care, and commitment of the individuals and communities who have carried this work forward. We thank our staff, partners, supporters, and guests for being part of this shared journey and for continuing to work together to help one another.
